What is our class schedule?

What can I expect my results to be?

We focus on lost body fat percentage and inches more than the scale. We feel these 2 things are a more accurate representation than what the scale shows as it relates to fitness. For example you can use the restroom and lose weight but that mean that you are in better shape? On average our members lose about 2.5 to 3 percent body fat per six weeks.

How many classes should I attend per week to reach my goals?

That depends on you as an individual. For some people this is their primary method of working out and they come often. For others, this is a supplement to their usual workout, like swimmers. Many find coming 3 times a week to be optimal.

How long are your contracts?

We do month to month and ask for a 30 day notice for cancellations.

What should I wear?

Wear attire that you feel comfortable working out in, shoes that are supportive and able to run in, and if you would like bring a bottle of water.

What and when should I eat?

A light meal or snack an hour an before working out.

What age range do you offer services for?

We work with individuals of all age ranges.

Are these classes for experienced or someone who is just starting?

Our workouts are designed to accommodate all fitness levels, ages, and abilities. The workouts are mostly functional body weight movements designed to help you move better through your life. We have worked with people who have never worked out before to those training for half and whole marathons, and Ironman triathletes.

I’m new to working out and I’m not sure if group is best for me…

We strive to create a non-intimidating environment. That’s why we keep the groups small and personal. Everyone here from the staff to those working out is very encouraging. We are here for those who want to work out but are not sure what to do or how to get started. We also have one on one personal training options available.

Do I really need the Myzone Heart Rate Monitor?

We require clients use the Myzone heart rate monitor. If you already own on you may use it. Other devices are not as accurate as Myzone nor do they sync with our training system. Our system is specifically designed for trainers to monitor the effort you exert during the workout and set goals using this information. The system calibrates to you more specifically as you continue to use it. The system gives points based on the effort exerted. These points allow us to create challenges and motivate clients to work harder. In turn, true progress is achieved.   myzone-watch

If I have an injury or something that limits my ability to workout, can I still participate in a group class?

Yes. Everyone at Metrics Fitness Lab is a certified personal trainer and is able to adjust and modify workouts as needed to still be effective and target specific muscle groups.

What do I expect when I walk in the door?

Metrics Fitness Lab is a fitness studio workout facility with group personal training classes offered throughout the day. The workouts are based in 4 different stations, or “methods” that are all designed to take a holistic approach to fitness. We use the latest in heartrate monitoring technology to measure the amount of effort to put forth in your workouts. The workouts are designed on a point based system allowing you to move at your own pace.

Metrics Fitness has been great for me. After a few years of being inactive and out of shape, I decided to give it a try. It has been exactly what I need. They adapt the workouts to your personal needs. They also take the time to make sure you are doing the exercises correctly. Also, the small class sizes create a supportive environment for everyone. If you’re on the fence about joining, I highly recommend giving it a try.

Great classes! Lots of great exercise and personal attention to detail. I have experienced the one-on-one personal training, the semi-private small group personal training sessions and the 6-week Get Fit Challenge at Metrics. Ike and the trainers are so knowledgeable and have helped me move better! The nutrition is delicious and the plan keeps me motivated and pushing toward my goals! It gets better all the time and has increased my energy, my flexibility, and my all over health.

I started at Metrics Fitness Lab when I signed up for the 6-week Get Fit Challenge. The commitment was scary to me. I work full-time, have a family, and to top it off, it had been years since I had been in a gym. I would go through short periods of trying to “get fit” but I could never really stick to a regular schedule, so I never had great results. This experience changed my entire perspective on health and fitness. The meal plans were so easy to implement, and I found myself excited to go to my workouts. With the smaller class sizes, it becomes like a little family. You get to know the people you work out with and they begin to support you through the challenge. After the 6 weeks were over, I was so proud that I was able to sustain something for that long and the results have kept me coming back month after month since. If you’ve been thinking about it, but always find a reason to not join, just do it! You have to show up, but Ike and his team will support you throughout the entire process. The Metrics Lab is the best place by far to get training. They care about your technique making sure you do it right. There at the lab they take in consideration injuries you may have and tweak a workout just for you. They also have delicious mean plans during the challenges.

Great staff! Ike provides one on one assistance with posture, motivation and meal plans. The 6 week challenge was a great experience and I learned a lot about exercise and nutrition. I was so motivated by the experience that I remained in the lab and became a member of metrics fitness lab.

My family has been going to Metrics Fitness Lab for about a year and have raved about it. So, when the last 6 week challenge started, I thought it would be a good opportunity to see what Metrics was all about. The challenge was great. The training is individualized in a small group setting, which allows for fun competition and real results. The meal plans are well put together and very flexible. The results are indisputable. Metrics does a tremendous job of getting the best out of everyone that walks through the doors!

The six weeks challenge at metrics fitness was a gift given to me by my wife. I entered the challenge with only one goal in mind, to make her happy. I was able to meet with the trainers and quickly discovered that the challenge would change my life. Through the help of the trainers and staff at metrics I was able to participate in a monitored exercise program that was tailored to me. The program took into account my current fitness level and general health condition. The diet plan included recipes that were both easy to prepare and great tasting. The plan allows for eating out and multiple options for each mealtime. I could even enjoy a glass of wine or have dessert! Who would’ve ever thought a cream cheese pumpkin square could be on a diet plan. Today I enjoy a new commitment to fitness and health. My friends and family often complement me on my transformation. All of the fun of group training with friends, with all of the attention to detail of personal training. The semi-private training sessions are high intensity and very adaptable to differing fitness levels to make sure everyone gets an awesome workout. I love the personal training style offered in a group setting allowing one-on-one attention to detail and form. I also enjoy that the exercises are varied each session minimizing monotony. The price is less than it would cost to have a personal trainer. Highly recommended.

I have been working out for many years and decided to try Metrics Fitness Lab in Auburn. I really loved the class as it is a full body workout. The instructors give each and every person individual attention as if it were a private personal training session. The heart monitor is a great way to keep you motivated as well. I highly recommend!

Definitely 5 Stars ...I would say 10! Trainers Kathryn and Mitchell teach an excellent and fun summer fitness program for youth. Children learn to listen and follow a variety of workout instructions, while building healthy minds and strong bodies. Workouts are low impact, yet challenging..... definitely a hour well spent at Metrics Fitness Lab!

I visited Metrics for the first time this week and really liked it. The staff is very hands on and knowledgeable. I liked the idea of being able to track my fitness progress using their heart rate monitors. I found that I could push myself more than I normally would just exercising by myself. Each class is different and you rotate through four stations, so it doesn’t get monotonous. Definitely recommend!

I really appreciate the judgement free zone and instruction from a trainer to show me how to correctly do exercises. The circuits keep the workout interesting and the trainer to client ratio is amazing! I also enjoy the tracker board so you can see where you are during the workout. Everyone encourages one another and that makes it all better! I can't wait until my next workout in the Lab!

Wow, this is an amazing place to work out...will be your only reaction when you get your fitness on at Metrics! It is the gym that you will brag about to your friends, family, co-workers, the checkout person in the grocery store, your nurse at the doctor’s office, flight attendant, and maybe some random stranger you pass by when you’re walking (due to the level of fit you have become, you will be surpassing everyone). Metrics Fitness Lab is the place where all your health goals can come true. I have had the BEST experience at Metrics so far. At the end of January I won a 6 week membership giveaway and since then I've been hooked. It's hard to get a better workout than the ones we do everyday at Metrics. The trainers really cater to your abilities and push you to be better; the small class sizes help the trainers have more time with you individuality to ensure you are hitting your goals. I just recently started looking for a place to get back in shape. Kathryn was welcoming and very encouraging as I started. Ike and Kathryn took time to make sure I was doing all the exercises correctly and continued the encouragement through my first class. But the thing that got me is that the classes are small, and there were two nice ladies that were MY AGE at the station with me encouraging me as well. "We've been there- you can do this!" This place is amazing. No matter where you are in your fitness level or what your reason is for wanting to get fit, the instructors are there to help and encourage you every step of the way. They not only focus on each exercise, but they focus on key body movements and making sure that you are doing the exercises correctly so you can achieve maximum results. I never feel like I’m on my journey alone. As soon as I walk in the door I’m greeted by smiling optimistic faces. It’s a complete over all body workout and I never do the same workout. I’m never bored and I always leave feeling like I have accomplished something. The classes are small and it’s nothing short of a family atmosphere. We laugh, we joke, we compete, but most of all we work hard. There staff has helped me understand more now than ever their core theme of “Consistency to achieve measurable results!” Try it I promise you will love it.

I've been working with Ike for 3 months and have seen amazing results within the time. I have never felt stronger or healthier before. I can't say enough good things about Metrics Fitness Lab. I'm a newbie,and they have been very patient with me to date. I’ve completed a few sessions at Metrics Fitness Lab and it has been so great! Ike reached out to me to try it out & I am so thankful he did. They are an awesome gym with such a great team of instructors and employees. Honey was so accommodating with such a warm welcome. The personal training in this studio is of the highest quality. The trainers clearly have an excellent education and they generously share knowledge of corrective exercise, nutrition, and purposeful tips for achieving individual goals. Metrics Fitness Lab had produced, by far, the best gym experience I have ever had. The small group personal training atmosphere is unsurpassed, and makes it possible for the trainers to pay attention to everyone individually instead of just overseeing some huge class. At the gym, we wear MyZone heart rate monitors to track effort. This technology is truly innovative and pushes us to work harder. The best thing about Metrics to me is that the trainers really care. They do their part to hold you accountable, keep you consistent in your fitness and nutrition, and provide a fun atmosphere to workout in. I absolutely love Metrics! When I first started, I couldn't make it it through a full workout without stopping to recover, but with the encouragement of the trainers I stayed at it and I am so glad I did! I have lost over 20 lbs and feel so much more in shape! Each day's workout is different so your body is kept guessing and you never get bored! I contribute a lot of this with wearing the heart rate monitor and the trainers, Ike and Chappy. The monitor kept me honest and the trainers taught me correct form and encouraged me. I'll get measured soon to see how many inches I've lost and will post it here. If you need help getting into shape and getting healthy, this is the place!

I've been with Metrics for about a year now, and I don't get a better work out than I do here! My favorite part about this gym is the trainers, they really care about getting you to see results. They pay attention to how you do an exercise to make sure you don't get hurt, they give you ways you can step it up a little, and they even give you tips on how to eat healthier! If anyone is looking for a gym to try out, please come to Metrics! You won't regret it!
