What is our class schedule?

Currently our class schedule is Monday through Friday 6am, 8:30am, 11am, 4pm, 5pm, and 7pm (no 7pm class on Fridays)

What can I expect my results to be?

We focus on lost body fat percentage and inches more than the scale. We feel these 2 things are a more accurate representation than what the scale shows as it relates to fitness. For example you can use the restroom and lose weight but that mean that you are in better shape? On average our members lose about 2.5 to 3 percent body fat per six weeks.

How many classes should I attend per week to reach my goals?

That depends on you as an individual. For some people this is their primary method of working out and they come often. For others, this is a supplement to their usual workout, like swimmers. Many find coming 3 times a week to be optimal.

How long are your contracts?

We do month to month and ask for a 30 day notice for cancellations.

What should I wear?

Wear attire that you feel comfortable working out in, shoes that are supportive and able to run in, and if you would like bring a bottle of water.

What and when should I eat?

A light meal or snack an hour an before working out.

What age range do you offer services for?

We work with individuals of all age ranges.

Are these classes for experienced or someone who is just starting?

Our workouts are designed to accommodate all fitness levels, ages, and abilities. The workouts are mostly functional body weight movements designed to help you move better through your life. We have worked with people who have never worked out before to those training for half and whole marathons, and Ironman triathletes.

I’m new to working out and I’m not sure if group is best for me…

We strive to create a non-intimidating environment. That’s why we keep the groups small and personal. Everyone here from the staff to those working out is very encouraging. We are here for those who want to work out but are not sure what to do or how to get started. We also have one on one personal training options available.

Do I really need the Myzone Heart Rate Monitor?

We require clients use the Myzone heart rate monitor. If you already own on you may use it. Other devices are not as accurate as Myzone nor do they sync with our training system. Our system is specifically designed for trainers to monitor the effort you exert during the workout and set goals using this information. The system calibrates to you more specifically as you continue to use it. The system gives points based on the effort exerted. These points allow us to create challenges and motivate clients to work harder. In turn, true progress is achieved.   myzone-watch

If I have an injury or something that limits my ability to workout, can I still participate in a group class?

Yes. Everyone at Metrics Fitness Lab is a certified personal trainer and is able to adjust and modify workouts as needed to still be effective and target specific muscle groups.

What do I expect when I walk in the door?

Metrics Fitness Lab is a fitness studio workout facility with group personal training classes offered throughout the day. The workouts are based in 4 different stations, or “methods” that are all designed to take a holistic approach to fitness. We use the latest in heartrate monitoring technology to measure the amount of effort to put forth in your workouts. The workouts are designed on a point based system allowing you to move at your own pace.

The personal training in this studio is of the highest quality. The trainers clearly have an excellent education and they generously share knowledge of corrective exercise, nutrition, and purposeful tips for achieving individual goals. They also make it a priority to engage each person specifically and reinforce good practice/ form. I'm sure that the work I do here won't end in hurt/disaster for me. I couldn't be happier and the pounds are falling away!

Metrics Fitness Lab had produced, by far, the best gym experience I have ever had. The small group personal training atmosphere is unsurpassed, and makes it possible for the trainers to pay attention to everyone individually instead of just overseeing some huge class. At the gym, we wear MyZone heart rate monitors to track effort. This technology is truly innovative and pushes us to work harder. The best thing about Metrics to me is that the trainers really care. They do their part to hold you accountable, keep you consistent in your fitness and nutrition, and provide a fun atmosphere to workout in. I never leave Metrics feeling like I haven't been challenged. For anyone looking for a place to make big improvements in their health, give Metrics a try!

I absolutely love Metrics! When I first started, I couldn't make it it through a full workout without stopping to recover, but with the encouragement of the trainers I stayed at it and I am so glad I did! I have lost over 20 lbs and feel so much more in shape! Each day's workout is different so your body is kept guessing and you never get bored! I contribute a lot of this with wearing the heart rate monitor and the trainers, Ike and Chappy. The monitor kept me honest and the trainers taught me correct form and encouraged me. I'll get measured soon to see how many inches I've lost and will post it here. If you need help getting into shape and getting healthy, this is the place!

Metrics is more than just a gym we are a family! The workout is always intense & never boring. This is a place where you can have fun while working out and burning calories! I have never enjoyed working out as much as I do now!! This place is my get away & I couldn't be more proud to call it MY GYM!

I've been with Metrics for about a year now, and I don't get a better work out than I do here! My favorite part about this gym is the trainers, they really care about getting you to see results. They pay attention to how you do an exercise to make sure you don't get hurt, they give you ways you can step it up a little, and they even give you tips on how to eat healthier! If anyone is looking for a gym to try out, please come to Metrics! You won't regret it!
